5:02 Clamping might have been a good idea. It lifted quite a bit. 5:05 And here you can see it doesn't sit square anymore.

I see you have a 336d lathe? I have the same one, fantastic lathes, not too small and no too big 👍. The only problems I have had with it are that the head stock leaks ( a small leak) and the lamp keeps blowing globes!

you can make rough lead shot easily by melting it in a tin with a hole in it. let the lead drip into water. Just poke a hole in a bean tin with a nail. Also you should have heated the rings to expand them a bit to make them go on easier.

Awesome. I watch an old shop teacher Lyle Peterson whose channels are Mr. Pete 222 and Tubalcain. He featured rebuilding a Postel brand die filer machine in one of his videos. I love his machining videos, and am very psyched that I myself found a Postel die filing machine, that works quite well. Check his channels out if you get a chance.
